A real stunner! This Nicaraguan single origin coffee is what coffee should be, clean, sweet and robust. We were so keen to receive samples of this coffee from Finca San Antonio and we were not disappointed with it. It comes fruity with a caramel base, white chocolate tones and persistent finish.

These honey processed beans from Matagalapa, Nicaragua are grown beside surrounding vegetation of banana trees, plantains, fruit trees and flowers from a Rainforest Alliance Certified private reserve.

For over four decades, the Mairena family has proudly owned Finca San Antonio which was recognized as a private natural wildlife reserve and is now part of the Central American Biological Corridor through the management of its owners to help preserve natural resources. Farms that are private wildlife reserves are managed to high standards of good agricultural and environmental practices.
San Antonio was the largest farm with organic production in Nicaragua from 2001 to 2009. However, organic production was discontinued because the organic market did not pay a fair differential to offset the high costs of organic production.

These coffee beans are honey processed, which means that some of the mucilage from the fruit has been left on the bean during the drying process. This process creates a unique flavour profile, where sweetness and acidity are perfectly balanced to produce a bright yet smooth cup.
We were pleased to receive 1 bag of this exclusive coffee, a rarity today.
